Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) was founded in the year 2000. AIT is one of the Educational Institutes of established by Acharya Institutes, which constitutes 10 Educational Institutions and 7 Research Centres. JMJ Education Society is responsible for the affairs of the Institute. AIT imparts technology education in 7 streams and offers Post Graduate Degrees in Business Administration and Computer Application. It also offers a Doctoral Study Programme in Mathematics leading to Ph.D. AIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and in the process of accreditation under NAAC for all programmes. The Institute has Professional Society Memberships of ISTE, CSI.

Hostels - The Institute has Boys Hostel with 145 Rooms and Girls Hostel with 130 Rooms. Medical facility and Phone & Internet facilities are also available in the Hostel.

Classroom / Tutorial Rooms - The Institute has 46 Class Rooms and 12 Tutorial Rooms equipped with Audio/Video Equipments.

Computer Centre - The Institute has a Computer Centre equipped with latest machines. The Institute Campus is completely WiFi enabled.

Library - The Institute Library has Reading Room and Multimedia facilities.

Laboratories and Workshops  - There are about 30 Laboratories for various Departments. Laboratories and Workshops have the latest equipment and trained Assistants who help the students learn through hands-on experience.

Extra Curricular Activities - The students of AIT are encouraged to attend / present papers in seminars, conferences, workshops etc. through ISTE students chapter and also participate in co-curricular and extra curricular activities through Departmental Forums. Every Year Acharya Habba is conducted along with other activities like Sports meets and Literary Activities.

Athletic Track. The Institute has a huge stadium with 6000 seating capacity. Gymnasium facility is also available.

Cafeteria - The Institute also has a Cafeteria.

Alumni Activities - The 3rd Alumni meet was conducted 6th February 2010. Around 130 Alumni’s attended the meet.
