For more than three decades, YS has exemplified excellence in the field of education. From an emphasis on generation next education, to an in depth study into programming and a focus on management education, YS has traversed many boundaries to develop its own expertise in education and research.

STATE OF ART BUILDING – YS College is proud to have State of Art Building comprising of Auditorium, Computer Centers, Soft Skill Labs, Lecture Halls, Library, accommodating all the modern facilities required for the overall growth, grooming and nurturing of the students

YS AUDITORIUM - Aesthetically appealing, technologically advanced, Fully Air Conditioned Auditorium at YS College, home to 400 seats with excellent lighting, sound system, laden with multimedia projectors is one of the wonders in YS. Purpose of Auditorium is to act as a common point for cultural events, conferences, workshops, corporate learning, student interactions, guest lectures and display of student talent

COMPUTER CENTER - Campus has big, spacious and technically advanced Computer Center to accommodate number of students at a time and is equipped with advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. The software labs are connected with Internet connection

TECHNOLOGY ENABLED LECTURE HALLS - We believe that lecture hall is an area where a student spends the maximum time, so the amphitheatre style build, spacious rooms at YS are not just lecture halls, instead they are designed such that they promote discussions and ideation. Keeping pace with the modern times, the college has added many smart rooms to its Infrastructure.

LIBRARY RESOURCE CENTER – The library of the college has an extensive and varied collection of books. To cater the rising demand of the information the library subscribes journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers. A rich collection of educational CDs is also available with the library.

AN INSTITUTE “WITH A DIFFERENCE”

TEACHING STAFF – An institute is known but from its teaching staff which must be well qualified, experienced and capable of imparting quality education to the students. YS is proud to have Best faculty of the area who are masters of their subjects and have good communication skills besides long term vision and a zeal to impart quality education to students

NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE COURSES – NSE, in collaboration with YS College, has been offering a short-term course called NSE Certified Financial Market Professional (NCFM) in the campus. The aim of the NCFM Program is to develop skills and competency in securities markets. This year, our 8 College students made us proud by successfully clearing Financial Market Beginners Module and were awarded add on joint certification from NSE

CAREER COUNSELING CELL - A dedicated career counseling cell is operational on 24x7 bases to guide students towards a focused and promising career path. We develop their thought process in a manner that they may not just seek a job, but a career. Regular career oriented lectures are undertaken by professionally trained and certified career counselor. We at YS ensures the students opt for Career By Choice and Not By Chance

INDUSTRIAL VISITS – At YS, students are imparted practical learning by making them visit Corporate and Industries. Last year, students were taken to Rishab Spinning Mill Ludhiana, Abhishek Industries Pvt. Ltd. Dhaula(Trident), Malwa Cotton Spinning Mill Textiles Barnala, Kurukshetra University etc.

CERTIFICATION COURSES

MOVING SHADOWS (THEATRE WORKSHOP) – One more initiative to channelize the energies of youth and to evolve them as confident and smart individuals, College has started optional Theatre Workshop for students. By participating in such workshops students not only shun shyness and do away with stage fear but also become more aware and responsible citizens of the country

DANCE CLASSES – Bhangra, contemporary, hip hop, lock n pop and other forms of dancing are introduced from time to time and interested students may opt for these classes after their regular College hours

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CLASSES – In today’s world of fierce competition, a student is expected to be smart, confident and excellent command over languages. Keeping in mind, School at has started optional Personality Development Course for proper grooming of students

IELTS CLASSES – Optional IELTS Classes which will run in the College and interested students may opt for the same and may horn their communication skills along with their regular studies

CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE

ORIENTATION PROGRAM - An orientation program was organized in YS college auditorium. The students were guided to prepare for academic life and make new friends. They were introduced to the activities and campus life.

ART OF LIVING - A healthy mind resides in healthy body and to strengthen our mind it is very important to explore ourselves through Art of Living. Associate members of Art of Living from Ludhiana, enlightened YS College Students and made them aware about diverse dimensions of life.

MEGA CAREER COUNSELING FEST - The day was marked with the presence of expert counselors from Chandigarh, Delhi, personnel from Air Force and Navy, people from Animation Industry, Hospitality Industry, Trident Group etc. who showed path to more than 1000 students on the day

DEEPAK RAJPUT’S DANCE CLASSES - Keeping the tradition of continuously and incessantly working to bring new opportunities to the students. We had introduced Deepak Rajput’s Dance Classes which received an overwhelming response from the students, parents and people who joined the classes

AMAN DHALIWAL@YS COLLEGE - A renowned name in Hindi and Punjabi Film industry started his career with Hindi movie Jodha-Akbar and then performed as main leads in Coffee house, Back to the roots, Virsa etc. Mr. Dhaliwal visited YS College to promote his movie “Ajj De Ranjhe”

SAADI WAKHRI HAI SHAAN PROMOTION - YS Auditorium’s stage was set on fire, as “Saadi Wakhri Hai Shaan’s” crew walked in through the pavements of YS College Handiaya who were received with roars and cheers into the spacious auditorium. The hall full of young minds went maniacal as the star cast includes Sangram Singh, Mandy Takhar and team walked on stage

WORK SHOP ON TRAFFIC AWARENESS - A workshop on Traffic awareness was held to make the students aware about Traffic Rules and Regulations. SP (Traffic) Barnala City visited the college and interacted with the students and presentation was shown on Traffic rules and regulations

CENTRE OF ATTRACTION - Many budding and emerging stars visited YS College for the promotion of their movies and they got an overwhelming response from students and staff. Star cast including Guggu gill, Sippy Gill and Veteran Punjabi folk singer Mohammad Siddique of Punjabi Movie- ‘Jatt Boys’,’ Putt Jattan de’ visited YS Auditorium. In another promo star of Viyah 70 KM having, Geeta Zaildar and Harish Verma enthralled the audience by their spectacular performance. Stars expressed their gratitude and promised Young Scholars to visit again soon

YS COLLEGE IN HEADLINES - On many occasions YS College always remains in limelight because of its various achievements such as ``Sair Punjab Di’’ one of the leading show on Fast Way News Channel showcased YS College and its contribution towards enlightening the society. In another event S. Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Honorable Finance Minister, Punjab, honored best Teachers on the ceremonial event of Teacher’s day at YS Auditorium 

CAMPAIGN – YOUTH AGAINST DRUGS - In order to make their youth aware about the ill effects of Drugs YS College Initiated a campaign – “Youth against Drugs” on 3rd October, 2013 in collaboration with PTU Jalandhar. In this Social awareness campaign more than 600 hundred students from different Colleges and nearby schools participated and collectively took a pledge to eradicate Drugs from society. A blood donation camp was also organized, as it is said that every drop of your blood can save a life.
