About UPES - School of Design Studies

Located at Dehradun, SoDS is a part of UPES, a unique university focused on Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation and Application IT.  UPES offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in these domains through its 3 colleges – College of Engineering Studies, College of Management & Economics Studies and College of Legal Studies. UPES Dehradun was established 11 years ago and is recognized today in respective fields having over 75 courses, 350 faculty members and over 6000 students. UPES students have been well accepted by the industry. More than 6000 UPES graduates are working today in corporate of national and international repute.

With the increasing focus on innovation and creativity and exemplary vision on future of design, UPES established the School of Design Studies (SoDS) under the UPES College of Engineering Studies. Keeping in view, the rapidly growing requirement of commercially viable and technically advanced designs today, SoDS offers one undergraduate design program and 4 post graduate programs. Each program has a well-structured curriculum covering essential aspects such as fundamentals of design, sketching & rendering, model making, ergonomics, digital design tools, design management, professional practice etc.
