Himachal College of Aircraft Engineering - HCAE, has been set up as per the guideline of Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation Govt. of India. It is the first aviation college of its kind in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir, thereby providing a great opportunity to the students who are looking forward to carve a niche career in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

The duration of AME course is 3 years, out of which 2.5 years is theoretical and practical followed by six months of practical training i.e On the Job Training (OJT) in DGCA approved aviation organization. The process of admission is made on the basis of Entrance Examination/Interview and basis of marks obtained in 10+2. At home page. The course commences in July in each academic year. The HCAE has made the provision of various facilities for the student. Aircraft Maintenance engineering course provides a high degree of technical skill and this course is directly controlled by the DGCA, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India.
