Founded in 1999, Institute of Business Management and Research (IBMR) was envisioned as an autonomous Institution, dedicated to benefiting an entire spectrum of career aspirants by developing and delivering study programmes of Sikkim Manipal University. Facilities

Hostel - The B-School has provided hostel accommodation for the benefit of its outstation students with hygienic food and comfortable stay facilities. The separate hostels for boys and girls within the reach of campus provides for continuous learning such as access to internet, reading room, indoor sports. There is three type of occupancy available - Single Deluxe, Two Sharing, Four Sharing. Facilities at hostel include carefully planned menu with variety, well furnished flats of 2 bed room, hall and kitchen, centrally located with easy access to all day to-day requirements, hot / cold water facility, drinking water separate dining hall, medical facility at reach, news paper & magazines, television for deluxe and twin sharing rooms, parent accommodation by request, travel booking by request. The hostel also has a food court offering choicest multi-cuisine to students.

Intensive Interaction with Industry - In today’s highly competitive world, it is a must for students to have exposure to the outside world, preparing them for the challenges that they will face in their field. At all levels, students are exposed to the industry through lectures, seminars, study tours, industrial visits, etc.
 
Guest Lectures - Eminent personalities from different industries and walks of life are invited to visit the campus and share their experiences and give students a global outlook through interactive programmes.
 
Professional Development - Another unique feature of the IBMR-IBS Programme is the Professional Development module which runs parallel to the main programme.

Based on current organisational needs, seminars and workshops are organised on various topics such as emotional intelligence, media relations, managing relationships with Board of Directors, as well as working with Fortune 500 companies.
