About KV. Usthad Memorial Darul Hidaya Orphanage Arts and Science College

The College established in 2003 is located in a rural area at Pookkarathar, 2 kms from Edappal centre and 12 kms from Kuttippuram Railway Station amidst serene idyllic ambience. The college is run by Ponnani Taluk Muslim Orphanage Assn. under the dynamic leadership of Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal- the socio-politico suprema of Muslims. PTMOA has been growing from strength to strength ever since and it has several learning centers under its fold, radiating beams of knowledge and wisdom. The college is named after late K.V Muhammad Musliyar Koottanadu, who is popularly known as K.V Usthad, the mystic saint; the gem of visionary and an eminent Quarnic researches was the brain behind this college.

The status of the college was changed to women in 1912 as per the university order. This an educational institution working for the intellectual, emotional, creative, and religious upbringing of the young generation.

The undergraduate programmes offered under choice - based credit semester system are as follows:-

B.Com. with Computer Application
B.B.A.
B.sc. Physics.
B.sc. Geology.
B.sc. Psychology.

The total strength of students in this college comes round 200. The teaching faculty and Nonteaching staff, sincere to the core is our real asset. The college which was started on humble premises with minimal facilities slowly moving towards the path of rapid and steady progress in terms of expanding infrastructure and widening horizons of academic service . Janab P.V Muhammad Moulavi manger and correspondent is the real inspiration behind it.

NSS, KVUM College

Our unit is very active in rendering meritorios services, for the last several years in diversified fields. Our programme officer is Ambily K.N. Assistant Professor in Commerce.

The vision of KVUM DHO Arts and Science College College is to achieve excellence in academic and non academic areas without compromising on institutional responsibilities to the society as a whole, particularly the marginalized classes with special reference to the region in which the college is located.
