Madhusudan Das Degree College (popularly known as MDDC) is affiliated to Deen Dayal Upadhyay University Gorakhpur and is one of the best private institutes for higher education in Gorakhpur.

Madhusudan Das Degree College was set up with the objective of imparting quality commerce education. The college is set up in the memory of Late RaiBahadurMadhusudan Das Ji, who was the sociocratic leader. RaiBahadurSahab was a Member of the Legislative Council and was also awarded the title of Honorary Second Leftinent in the year 1950 for his services to the nation by the then President of India Dr. Rajendra prasad ji. He had dedicated his life for the upliftment of education in Eastern UP.

Madhusudan Das Degree College is run by Madhusudan Das Jain Memorial Society. The society endeavours to perpetuate the name of RaiBahadur sahib in field of education by establish educational institutions which impart quality education. MDDS is situated behind Vishnu Mandir at BheriyaGarh, Gorakhpur. At MDDS, effective governance and quality education were seen as critical aspects. From the very start the founders introduced the concept of faculty governance: all members of the faculty play an important role in administering the diverse academic and non-academic activities of the Institute. The empowerment of the faculty has been the propelling force behind the high quality of learning experience.
