Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Institute of Information Technology & Management Science (DAMITS), Jagda, Rourkela was founded in 2000. Its MCA & MBA courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by UGC, the Govt. of Odisha & affiliated to Sambalpur University & Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha. It is associated with the AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) and is also a recognized SES REC institution (Social Entrepreneurship, Swachhata and Rural Engagement Cell). It is an ISO 9001: 2015 certified institution & it’s NAAC accreditation is also under process. It is managed by Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Social Welfare and Educational Trust (DAMSWET), a charitable organization registered under section 80G of the Income Tax Act. Its primary objective is to provide quality education in the field of IT & Management Sciences.

The College has experienced and very capable Faculty and Supporting Staff. It has a well-equipped infrastructure. • A lot of Odisha based companies in different sectors like Automobile, Retail, Banks, Finance etc. organize On-Campus drives at DAMITS.
• For these On-campus and off-campus drives organized by the placement cell, students are trained for the interview process and are successfully placed in various companies.
