Sri Nagareshwara Swamy Educational Trust (R) was founded in the year 1995 under the great ambition and foresight of late Sri.P.Maligappa. The trust has established Pragathi High School in the year 1995-96. The success and encourages from the parents the trust establishing the Pragathi Girls P.U College and Pragathi ITI College in the year 1997-98. After in the year 2000-01 trust was extending the Pragathi First Grade College for women.

The Pragathi Primary and Higher Primary School was established in the year 2002-03, to encourage the rural masses to pursue basic and higher education. In the year 2003-04 the trust was established Pragathi D.Ed College. The support and encourages from parents the trust established Pragathi Composite P.U. College in the year 2011-12.

The mission of Sri. Nagareshwara Educational Trust (R) provides an ideal learning environment for the student's development. The programmes in its various institutions are designed to be responsive to the parents and future needs of individual and organizations. The curriculum integrates traditional higher education with innovative concepts to equip the students to meet the ever changing needs of a complex society and diverse community.
