S.D. College Institutions

S.D. College Institutions, run by S.D. College Educational Society Barnala, are amongst the prestigious institutions of the region which serves to educate the students of this backward area for the last fifty six years. S.D. college institutions have made amazing progress and development under the guidance of their founder President Dr. Raghubir Parkash and their founder member Pandit Anand Sarup and also all the other members who have worked with co-ordinated approach towards the establishment of these institutions. Originally an arts college i.e. S.D. College was started, the foundation of which was laid by Dr. Raghubir Parkash in 1956. From the very beginning, the college was on the path of progress. In 1962 Science faculty was started and in 1974 Commerce faculty was started to create a solid base of literate population. Then to meet the needs of the people of Barnala and adjoining area some Technical and Professional courses Like M.Sc. (IT), B.C.A., B.B.A., B.Lib., B.Sc. (Biotech) etc. were started. The plan did not stop here. In 1985, S.D. College of D.Pharmacy was started and then S.D. College of B.Pharmacy in 2001.S.D. College Institutions have earned a distinctive place in the educational arena as our students have won laurels in the academic as well as co-curricular activities. Our alumni have excelled in various fields like Judiciary, Civil services, Education, Sports and Medical Services.The institutions aim at making students better human beings & encouraging professional growth of our budding geniuses.
