Sree Narayana Guru Memorial Education Campus

SNGM Campus is a beautiful and serene place of education that nestles itself in the lakeside green of unassuming Valamangalam village, near Cherthala in Alappuzha Dist.of Kerala. The campus is run by SNGM Educational and Cultural Trust, a non-profit organization formed to live and celebrate the memory of the great sage and social reformer Sree Narayana Guru. The Campus that houses a wide range of educational institutions provides an excellent and inspiring environment for students to pursue their professional and academic studies to the rare heights of excellence.

The campus is a total educational place and a place for total education. From the Kinder Garten where we start, our education is based on the highest of values and oriented towards the best of human achievements. It is continued and proliferated through a CBSE Sr.Secondary School, Arts and Science College, Engineering College, Teacher Education Colleges, Pharmacy College, Polytechnic and Hospitality Management Institution. While selecting special subjects and courses in these institutions, care has been taken to go always for socially and economically relevant ones. Our courses in Hotel Management and Catering, in the Polytechnic and College, meet global standards of excellence besides they having university and AICTE recognition. With all the student facilities provided and the general fellow feeling and amity that prevail here, the atmosphere is highly conducive to the Man making process, which is the ultimate platform of life in this campus.

Facility

Ours is a serene and beautiful campus sprawling over 50 acres of lakeside lush green. With the ambience that this provides, the campus has incorporated various facilities generally and with individual institutions to maximize the educational experience of the individual. Many of these facilities like Counseling, Stress management programmes often extend to the families of the students.

Hostels

The concept of keeping the hostel as a 'home away from home' is our goal and for this all efforts are being made.  Food service in the hostel is always homely and the inmates will have their say in deciding the menu. With a parental attitude, hostel warden and resident tutors are always ready to hear and solve the problems faced by the inmates.

Transportation

Students and staff can avail the superb transport facility offered by the campus. Buses are kept running in all necessary routes at proper timings.

Library

Apart from the libraries in the individual institutions, a central library is maintained in the campus which is gradually being built in to a multi-disciplinary resource point.    Books, periodicals and a wide range of national and international journals would be made available here for all students and staff in the campus.

Canteen

A modern and well-maintained canteen, satisfying most of the food habits is an attraction of the campus. Conceived with an idea of minimizing food wastage, the canteen provides a peaceful and happy dining experience at minimum possible expenses.

Placement Cell

Job hunting is no more a strain of the pass outs. Placement cell of the campus has tie-ups with lots of employers and can definitely help them to find and get placed in suitable positions.

Human Resources Development Programme

This is a programme functioning in the Arts and Science College. Programme involves training in essential soft skills for students, members on the staff and public. Communication skills, training in gaining International Certification in English language like IELTS, Group discussion and Interview skills, essential Computer skills, training in Basic Accountancy etc. form this essential survival kit of soft skills. Yoga and meditation sessions are integral features of the programme.

Sree Narayana Study Center

The Sree Narayana Study Center is conceived as a place where purposeful and socially relevant multi-disciplinary research work based on the vision of Sree Narayana Guru. It is the idea that only a very minor fraction of the potentials of the Guru's vision has so far been utilized; notwithstanding the fact that this small fraction has brought about a change historically unparalleled, tremendous and manifold in its impact. The projects that the center would take up would be so designed that they would seek newer and fresher lines of praxis for the Guru's ideas that they blossom into and find fruition in a better and happier life, based on the highest and purest of human values,   made accessible to all. The library at the center would have a very rich collection of the writings of the Guru, writings and studies on the Guru and other related documents.
