Reports, like, "Educating the Engineers of 2020: Adapting Engineering Education to the New Century (2005, USA)" and "Rising above the Gathering Storm: Energizing and employing America for a brighter economic future (2006, USA)" and "Global Dissemination of Innovations in Teaching (USA,2007)" express concerns regarding the rapid changes of the Engineering Education and desire teaching innovations in order to cope with the challenges of the century. Thus, the age-old input-output concept of the engineering education is no more relevant for the new century and now the focus is on the input-output-outcome concept which adjudicates the effectiveness of the teaching programme on the basis of the outcomes (Washington Accord).
