Punjab govt to recruit PCS officers

Punjab government has decided to carry out recruitment of Punjab Civil Services (PCS -Executive Branch) and allied services each year for which the rules would be amended. A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal here yesterday in which Chief Secretary S C Agrawal, Principal Secretary and others participated, an official spokesman said.The decision was taken by the meeting chaired by Mr Badal, even before he had taken oath as chief minister.

It was decided that the entire process of selection of PCS (EB) and allied services as well as PCS officers, including 31 nomination posts, will be completed by Punjab Public Service Commission before June 30.

The meeting also decided that the requisition for filling up the posts of PCS and allied services, which will become available till June 30, 2013, will also be finalised and sent to PPSC by April 30.
