Error in CBSE Question - Board decides to give full marks

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to award full marks in Engineering Graphics (EG) subject of Class 12 board exam 2012. The decision was taken in order to make up with the errors carried in the question paper.

The question was related to assembly and disassembly of machine parts and the diagram and dimensions didn't match in the said question. The subject is an integral part of competitive exams for admission in architecture at undergraduate level. Students are very happy with this decision. Many students are of the view that this decision by the CBSE will boost their morale for competitive exams.

An official further added that it was a wake up call for question paper setters and the board. The board's question paper of this subject has been carrying errors for past couple of years. Several complaints by parents and students have fallen on deaf ears. It was a wake up call and the board has decided to take precautionary measures from next year onwards.
