The All India Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT) 2012 are all set to introduce the mobile phone jammers and finger print scanners at all exam centers across the country on May 13.
The Central of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducts the test, has pulled all stops to check mal practices and the candidates will also be video graphed. The board has planned to take two fingerprints and photographs of examinees, which will be matched with candidates later at the time of counseling or joining the college. This year a total of 30, 788 candidates are expected to seat for the test.
For a room of 24 students, one mobile jammer will be used and it is expected to block cell-phone/bluetooth service at the center, including CDMA, GSM, 3G, 4G, spy camera and Wi-Fi. The agencies are planning to use jammers that work on battery, considering the frequent power cuts.
The board said that if any candidate is found to have indulged in any such activity, he or she shall be de-barred from taking AIPMT exam permanently in future and shall also be liable for criminal action.
The board has identified, 48 centers in total, including eleven in Delhi, seven each in Jaipur and Lucknow, twelve in Kochi and one in Chennai, where the security measures will be in place.
