Foreign Education institute will open campuses, awarded degrees

Long standing bill of Foreing Education Provider was today approved by Cabinet clearing the hurdle for foreign universities to upen campuses in India and award degrees through distance education. The Foreign Educational Institution-Regulation of Entry and Operation- Bill 2010 will regulate the entry and operation of foreign education providers in India.Like private unaided institutions in India Foreign Institution  would not have to adhere to OBC quota.Besides the providers would need to keep a corpus of Rs 50 crore to meet the crisis in case of sudden closures.
