Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) will become the first university in the country to provide video helpline to aspirants seeking admission at the varsity.
The video call office (VCO) based on the voice video over broadband technology will be set up at the newly set up single window counter near the university head office by an Ahmedabad-based firm.
"This facility will help aspirants to solve face to face queries regarding admission procedure, forms, registration among others," he said, adding that the university will appoint a person who will remain present during working hours to handle queries put up by aspirants on video calls.
Such aspirants however require a phone that supports video calls.
"Such a system will make things easy for aspirants, especially those from far off places in the country who cannot physically come and solve their queries and at times even the traditional help lines aren't of much help to them," added Kulabkar.
