Girls outshone boys in both the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams for Classes 10 and 10+2 respectively, results for which were declared on yesterday ie 19th May.
The pass percentage of girls in Class 10 was 98.7 percent against 97.9 for boys, an official release from the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE)-the conducting body of these exams, said.
Similarly, the passing rate of girls stood at 98.26 per cent in Class 10+2 while it was 96.17 percent in case of boys.
The release said 55,760 students took the Class 10+2 exams and 1,12,820 students took the Class 10 exams of the council this year.
