The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recently conferred an autonomous status to the 121-year-old Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA). The KCA is the first Guru Nanak Dev University affiliated college in the state to have bestowed with an autonomous status.
Khalsa College governing council president Satyajit Singh Majithia said that the institute would like to collaborate with top educational institutions across the world to meet the new academic requirements.
