CBSE to conduct an All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test

Following the final decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) shall conduct an All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in the academic session 2014-15.

The board will conduct this test for admission to 15% all India quota seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges across the country except in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and also for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges who are voluntarily Participating in the test to be held on 04 May 2014 in selected cities throughout the Country and Abroad.

The Entrance Test will consist of one paper carrying 180 objective type questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (45 questions from each subject). The Syllabus for this entrance exam is the same as notified by the Medical Council of India for NEET-UG, which can be accessed at the website: www.mciindia.org.
