IIT JEE - 2011 Pattern to remain unchanged

IIT aspirants are relieved following the decision to keep the IIT-JEE exam pattern unchanged for the next academic year. The IIT-JEE reforms committee appointed by the union ministry of human resource development had recommended 70 per cent weightage for Class XII (Intermediate) marks in the JEE.

IIT-Kanpur, which will be conducting the test in 2011, made an announcement on Saturday that the exam pattern will remain unchanged. The reports of the move to change the IIT-JEE format from 2011 became a cause of concern for students who have been preparing for the exam in the “old format” right from class VIII.

The IIT-JEE is scheduled for April 10 next year. The test will conducted in the morning and evening. The decision regarding entrance exam form and its submission will be taken within next 10 days.
