Institute of Trans-disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology Bangalore inaugurated

India’s first ever trans-disciplinary health university - Institute of Trans-disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (IHST) was inaugurated in Bangalore’s on 20th Jan,  2014.

The university will offer a mix of traditional Indian shastras and western ideals in medicine, technology and health science.

The University IHST is located in the Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions campus at Yelahanaka in the Bangalore’s north region. Chairman Pitroda launched the Foundation Trust around 20 years ago to open up projects that contact national policies and programmes in its selected area of operations.

The university was initially launched as a foundation but after seeing its good performance, the Karnataka Government granted the foundation a private university status.

The institute would help in creation of transformative knowledge and original Indian contributions to medicine and health sciences.

The university will serve community health and with main focus on benefitting the rural community and the society as a whole, as said by the officials.
