IGNOU is all set to launch a PG Diploma programme in urban planning and development this session. The programme will provide an opportunity to learners to deepen their knowledge and understanding of urban planning and development.
The 32-credit interdisciplinary programme has broadly been divided into five major areas — introduction to urban development; issues and challenges in urban planning and development ; dynamics of urban planning and development; monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes; and development: issues and perspectives.
This field opens up job opportunities in many areas. Graduates from this programme may serve various government and non-governmental organisations dealing with urban planning and development.
