CBSE got approval for 13 more vocational course from UGC

University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved 13 vocational courses of CBSE that are being taught in CBSE affiliated school’s Class XI and Class XII. The courses are:

  1. Knowledge Tradition and Practices of India
  2. Legal Studies
  3. Human Rights and Gender Studies,
  4. Theatre Studies
  5. NCC
  6. Heritage Crafts
  7. Graphic Design
  8. Creative Writing and Translation Studies
  9.  Functional English
  10. Entrepreneurship
  11. Bio-technology
  12. Fashion Studies and
  13. Mass Media Studies

The syllabus for the new recognized courses is available on CBSE’s official website. CBSE has 34 vocational courses on offer consisting of 97 subjects in total. Since these courses are of optional nature, so far only 313 affiliated schools in India and 11 schools overseas have chosen it.
