Government of Rajasthan has reserved 15% MBBS seats for NRI students in all the five new medical colleges opened in the state and run by Rajasthan Medical Education Society (RMES).
They five new colleges have got the approval by the Medical Council of India and ministry of health and family welfare recently and become operational from the academic session 2018-19. The new medical colleges are situated in Pali, Dungarpur, Bharatpur, Churu and Bhilwara.
Each new college will have 100 MBBS seats with reservation as follows:
The fees for various categories of candidates will be as follows:
For NRI Candidates
For Payment seats under state quota
For Normal Merit Base Candidates
Only those candidates, who will be given undertaking from their nearest NRI relatives, will be eligible for NRI quota. Nearest relatives include, real brother and sister of father i.e. real uncle and real aunt, real brother and sister of mother i.e. real maternal uncle and maternal aunt, father and mother of father i.e. grandfather and grandmother, father and mother of mother i.e. maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother, first degree-paternal and maternal cousins.
Besides, candidates who have at least one of the parents of students should be an NRI and shall ordinarily be residing abroad as an NRI or the person who sponsors the student for admission should be a first degree relation of the student (i.e. real brother / real sister) and should be ordinarily residing abroad as an NRI, will also be eligible for NRI quota.
Any candidate, who is not an NRI but he has the undertaking of NRI from his nearest relatives, will be eligible for NRI quota for securing MBBS seat in five new medical college.
The RMES has also declared that seats remaining vacant in government societies colleges (Jhalawar, RajMES)/ RUHS Medical College after exhausting the NRI students, would be converted into payment seats. And if then payment seats remain vacant, those vacant payment seats would be converted into normal fee seats.
