UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2018 schedule released

The Union Public Service Commission has released the schedule for Civil Services Main Exam 2018. All those candidates who have applied for the same can visit the official website of commission i.e  upsc.gov.in to check the time table.

The Civil Services Main Exam 2018 will be held from September 28 to October 7, 2018.

Timings of the exam will be as follows

• Forenoon Session: 9 am to 12 noon
• Afternoon Session: 2 pm to 5 pm

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2018 on June 3 at various test centres across the country.

The exam was conducted in two parts with Paper-I being conducted in the morning and Paper-II conducted in the afternoon.

UPSC Civil Services Prel Exam Cut-off marks:

A drop of 2-3 points from 105.3 marks, which was the cut-off for Prelims 2017 is expected this year owning to increase in difficulty level of the exam.

Selection Procedure:

The UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE), popularly known as IAS (Indian Administrative Service) exam, in two phases namely- UPSC Prelims and UPSC Mains.

The prelims exam comprises objective-type questions, while the questions asked in mains need descriptive and essay-type answering.

Also, the selection of candidate is made well before the commencement of the foundation course.
