AY Dadabhai Technical Institute

A.Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute, Kosamba was established in the Year 2007 to run full time technician level full time diploma programmes in Engineering and Technology in which candidates admitted by central admission committee of Gujarat. It is managed by the Suratee Sunni Vohra Muslim Education Society Surat. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) & Gujarat Technological University (GTU). The Institute is having 11 acres 4.3742 Hectors & 41117.79 Sq.mts. Land and Total construction of 4398.29 Sq.mts. Presently four diploma courses are being offered Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil & Electronics & Communication.

Location - The Institute is located at Kosamba-Mahuvej Road, Kosamba Dist Surat near to the Railway Station Mainline from Mumbai to Delhi (Western Railway). Kosamba is town of Surat & it is 40 kms away from Surat & also touching to National Highway No-8.

Facilities

Library - The Institute has well equipped and well managed Computerized Library. The Library has a Reading Room where students can study without any disturbance.  At Present area of library is 89.19 sq.mts. & seating capacity of Library is 60.New centralized Library building is under construction. The Library has 437 number of Titles, 1293 number of Volumes, subscription of 15 number of National Technical Journals, subscription of 5 number of International Technical Journals.

Internet & Computer Lab - The Computer Centre is equipped with 60 PCs with latest configuration, UPS and Air conditioner. Area of computer lab at present is 190.26 Sqm. There are Three Laboratories and each has a capacity of 30 students. All Computers are connected in a network having 24 hours internet facilities. Multimedia & LCD Projector also included in the Centre.

Workshops - Workshop experience helps students to understand the complexity of industrial working in relatively shorter duration. The students are advised to undergo each skill experience with an understanding at know how and special emphasis on why the various practices imparted to them in various shops.

There are mainly two types of Workshops:

1. Training Workshop.
2. Production Workshop.

Grievance Redressal - Grievance Redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students The institute has created grievance redressal cell to receive, examine and decide actions on various grievances put forward by staff members and students. This Cell is working under the chairmanship of Principal/Director as and when required.
