Aditya Institute of Technology (AIT) was established in the year 1995 by Dr. R. N. Gupta Technical Educational Society. AIT being a Polytechnic is affiliated to Board of Technical Education (BTE), Govt. of Delhi. AIT, New Delhi is also an Institutional Member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and through it remains in touch with the latest trends in technical education. Admissions in Aditya Institute of Technology are based on Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Board of Technical Education (BTE), Delhi under the Department of Training & Technical Education (DTTE), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi around April/May every year.
The Institute is located adjacent to a posh South Delhi Colony, Vasant Kunj
Programmes under Community Development through Polytechnic - The scheme of Community Development through Polytechnic provides non-formal skill training to rural as well as disadvantaged sections of the community including Un-employed Youth, School Drop-outs, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Minorities, Women and Physically Handicapped etc. These courses are of six months duration and provided free of cost.

AICTE-ISTE-Short Term Training Programmes - The institute has been conducting various two weeks / one week duration Short-Term Training Programmes (STTPs) under Quality Improvement Training Programme as a means of upgrading the expertise and capabilities of the teachers of the AICTE approved engineering institution in the country. These STTPs are fully funded by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) through Indian Society for Technical Educational (ISTE).
Library - It has a spacious reading room furnished with large numbers of tables, chairs and different types of magazines, newsletters, newspapers, reference books, national and International journals etc for the use of students.
Laboratories - All the laboratories of all departments of the Institute are well-equipped and have good quality tools, equipments, instruments, training kits, machineries as per the norms.
Computer Centre - The Institute’s Computer Centre is well equipped with a large number of computers along with other peripherals like printers, UPS and scanner etc. The Internet (Broadband) facilities are also available in these labs for the students.
Extra Curricular Activities - The Institute celebrates annual cultural functions to promote Indian cultural heritage, to know social cultural values and provide them opportunities to develop their hidden skills and talents in the field of performing arts and culture. Such events make a significant contribution to transmitting and exchanging ideas, values and attitudes from person to person and from generation to generation.
Training & Placement Cell - The regular liaison is maintained with the reputed and well known firms/organizations for training and placement of students as per norms of study laid down by Board of Technical Education (BTE). Various passed out students have been placed in MTNL, ABB, L&T, HCL, Apollo Hospital, AIIMS, GTB Hospital etc.
Industrial Visits – Various industrial and field visits are arranged from time to time to explore the students’ knowledge to world of work. The visit is compulsory to all students.
Co-curricular Activities – The polytechnic promotes various co-curricular activities among students through activities such as student’s seminars, extension lectures, debating competitions, class presentation etc. AIT also sponsors meritorious students in other Institutions for participating in different type of academic activities as and when required.
