B.V.V.S. Polytechnic is a premier technical institution situated in Bagalkot district having bracing climate best suited for extensive study. It aims towards providing quality based formal education in technical, non-technical and professional fields to meet the needs of the society. It is managed by Basaveshwar Veerashaiv Vidya Vardhak Sangha. Shri Basaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha was founded by his Holiness, Shri Gurubasava Mahaswamiji of Bilur, a visionary far ahead of his times, in the year 1906

The institution provides effective training by qualified staff who are willing for continuous development with support of adequate infrastructure and efficient administration. The polytechnic moulds the students in leadership, personality development and as a good citizen. The institution is committed to strive for upliftment of rural community, socially and economically weaker sections, unemployed youth with special emphasis on Women.

Location - Bagalkot city is connected with rail and road service. There are number of trains between Hubli and Solapur. The institution is quite nearer to railway station and the city bus stand.

Facilities

Hostels - The institution has a separate spacious facilities for about 300 boys and 50 girls. The hostel is at the campus premises only. All rooms are provided with book racks. Each student residing in the hostel is given a cot, table and chair. The facilities like 24 hours electricity, hot water supply for bath, cold drinking water in summer, a separate TV room and reading room are provided. Hostel runs a mess on dividing system.

Newly admitted students in the institution can get hostel admission. The selection is made on the basis of one's merit and conduct. The student will have to apply to the warden in prescribed form for hostel admission. The following are the fees prescribed for the hostel admission.

1. Hostel Fees - Rs. 6000/- per year
2. Mess Establishment Charge - Rs. 1000/- per year
3. Generator Fees - Rs. 500/- per year
4. Mess Deposit - Rs. 1000/- (refundable)

Scholarships And Freeships - A number of scholarships and freeships are available. They are awarded to the poor and deserving students taking into consideration their merit, income, good conduct and behaviour.Some of the the scholarships and concessions available to the deserving students of the institution.
