Atomic Energy Central School - AECS 3

Atomic Energy Central School No. 3, Tarapur, is an English medium school intended to impart quality education to the wards of employees of Department atomic energy (DAE) and its constituent units situated at Tarapur. It is managed by Atomic energy education society (AEES) which is an autonomous body under DAE, Government of India.

Our school was started in the Academic Year 2002-03 as a secondary school affiliated to CBSE, to provide education from Preparatory class to Class X. In the academic year 2009-10, it was upgraded to Senior Secondary School with the introduction of Class XI with Computer Science and Biology Streams under affiliation to CBSE and in academic year 2010-11 Class XII was also started for the same subject streams. At present our school is having classes from Pre-Preparatory up to Class XII.

In pursuit of better means to provide quality education, practical and physical training to the children, our school is having an efficient team of highly qualified and trained teachers, well furnished and ventilated class rooms, well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and computer science practical’s as well as physical education department and cultural programme committee to train the students in various sports and cultural events. To nurture the habit of reading and tendency for further deep subject study of students and also to facilitate referential needs of teachers, a well maintained library with more than 10,000 books in various subjects and categories is available in our school. The school administration is managed by the Principal, with the co-ordination of Vice-Principal, Headmaster, Post Graduate Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers, Primary Teachers, Librarian, Lab-assistants, Office Staff and supporting staff.
