Bhavans Tripura Vidyamandir

Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir was set up on 02 October, 1996 by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a non-government organization of well reputed with its Headquarters at Mumbai, Now it has more than 375 institutes, 118 Kendras in India and 7 overseas centers, The school is affiliated to CBSE and recognized by the state Govt. The school is located about 15 km. away from the city (Agartala) center and offers English medium education from Classes Preparatory I (LKG) to XII std. This School is situated at Bimangarh (Narsingarh), Agartala, West Tripura. It was innaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tripura and was graced by Late. Dr. Pratap Chandra Chunder, Late Chairman, Bhavan's Kolkata Kendra. This School is permanently affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

Appreciating the goal efforts done by Bhavans in the field of education, the Govt. of Tripura requested Bhavan’s to setup an educational institute and centre in Tripura and accordingly, offered and land area of 10 acres near TIT (Technical Institute of Tripura) with onetime grant of Rs. 5 lakhs. ONGC granted Rs. 10 lakhs, ACC Cement and steel Authority of India came forward to carry the entire project. Finally Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir came into being existence in 2nd October 1996 at Narsingarh, Agartala.

It is the product of constant hard work, tremendous dedication and lots of good will of late Regional Director K.V. Gopalkrishnan and Late Administrator B. C. Banerjee.

Some of the special features of this school includes Individual cottage modules for the tiny tots (Preparatory I & II) , extensive playground , library facility, access to computers, well equipped laboratory. Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir is a co-educational, C.B.S.E. affiliated English medium school with 100% success at the Board exams, every year. As per the wishes of Govt. of Tripura, Bhavan’s had set up a professional college for Post Graduate students in various Job Oriented management courses. Bhavan's Tripura College of Science and Technology and college of Teachers' Education are most popular as regard the study pattern and placements.

Lab Facilities - The school has well equipped spacious labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, Geography and Mathematics.

Library and Reading Room - The school library contains a healthy collection of books covering various disciplines of study and periodicals, journals, magazines and newspapers. The books are issued to the students on all working days.

Transport - The Bhavan's Buses are conducted by the Bidyarthi Bus Owner's Association, Agartala. There are 23 (Twenty three) buses in the school.
