Welcome to Opportunity School, the school for the mentally challenged children located at 5/6 Ritherdon Road Vepery, Chennai India. At Opportunity School we know that early intervention in mentally challenged children will help the children in the following ways:

• To remediate existing developmental problems

• To provide support and assistance to the family
• To maximize the child's and family's benefit to the society

About Our Program: It is an established fact through research that the rate of human learning and development is most rapid in the pre-school years. Timing of the Intervention becomes particularly important when a child runs the risk of missing an opportunity to learn during a period of maximum readiness. An initiative in this direction is being carried on only by

Opportunity School in this big city of Chennai and provision of quality service in the heart of the city will benefit many disabled children as parents need not travel a long distance to a resource center. We have the Early Interventional center program staffed with a special educator and an occupational therapist which will equip parents with vital techniques essential to help manage the disabling condition of their child.
