Panisheola Indira Smriti Vidyapith, the Pride of Panisheola Village, is the first C.B.S.E. affiliated English Medium Higher Secondary School in the District of Hooghly with typical rural flavour and natural landscape. The D.V.C. Canal popularly known as ‘Kana Nadi’, the rich and very fertile alluvial grains of Gangetic delta, the beautiful panoramic view of some lakes and a variety of flora add some extraordinary beauty to the wonderful and pollution free surroundings of this great Institution. Indira Trust, a Registered Body, nurtures this Institution to grow into greater maturity in order to provide quality education to the children of literally backward masses of this locality with broader vision to bravely face all the challenges coming on their way. This lovely Institution tries to cater to the academic needs of more than seven blocks of this District namely Haripal, Tarakeshwar, Dhaniakhali, Pursura, Polba, Singur and Jangipara through School Buses. The School has the sole mission of looking after the all round development of a child and so it has equipped itself with all inclusive infrastructure to fulfil its Mission. Computer Education has been made compulsory along with the introduction of Internet Facilities and also the inclusion of Information Technology within its curriculum. The ever growing Institution has a suitable learning network through its well equipped Library with a collection of many highly-valued Reference Books and an Auditorium of 600 seating capacity to conduct various co-curricular activities including the Cultural Functions on a regular basis. The last milestone of this budding School achieved in the year 2002 was that of its upgradation to the Senior Secondary Section by the C.B.S.E. It is a matter of time that this School will attain greater height to provide quality education by dint of its concept of Complete Schooling.
