YS Public School, Handiaya is a CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) affiliated school located at Barnala-Bathinda Road. This school provides classes for students from nursery class to 12th standard with state of the art facilities and infrastructure, spread over an area of 3 acres. There are Encyclopedias on different subjects available in the libraries. The libraries also have a number of CDs on different subjects for the use of the students. Days are fixed for the drawing of books or CDs from the library. The students are issued library cards for the withdrawal of books.

Transportation: - School provides transportation facility across the Barnala, the priority is the safety of the students we transport; we work tirelessly to ensure the peace of mind of those who have entrusted their children to us.

Science Laboratory: - Idea is to conduct all the science classes from 8th class onward are held in the Science Labs, so that every student becomes clear of the fundamental of each concept. Experiments in these labs are explained to and done by the students, with care given to intricate details of each of them, so that once imbibed, the details remain in the young minds for future times.

Computer Lab: - The campuses have big enough computer laboratory to accommodate 40 students at a time and is equipped with advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software to cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum.

Music Room: - School has ultra modern music-room with varied variety of musical instruments like guitar, chon go, acoustic drum, violin, table, synthesizer, harmonium. There is a music period for every class.

Robotics Lab: - We, first Schools in the area, are getting students ready for the 21st century through Robotics Science. We certainly take proud in introducing Robotics Science to students of 7th Class and above, where students themselves think, design, build, program and test Robots. Robotics Lab equipped with varied equipments and technology, a freedom to think beyond the conventional boundaries.

Children Parks: - The campus of the schools is very well planned. There is Children Park crowned with flowers canopy in the middle of it. A Science Park is also developed where almost all the swings are based on the principles of science; each swing is associated with a plate giving details of the principle on which the swing is based.

School Canteen: - The School Canteen caters to the eating needs of the students. At Campus from Nursery to 5th standard the students are charged refreshment fee and the refreshment is provided to the students from the canteen. There is a menu prepared for the whole week so that the students get healthy, fresh and variety in refreshment.
