Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School - Kasel

Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School Kasail is co-educational institution offering education from Play-Pen. to 10th standard. The school is situated on Chheharta -Chhabal road at a distance of 12 km from Chheharta. The sarpanch of vill. Kasail S.Dilbag Singh participated in the Educational Conference of Chief Khalsa Diwan at Amritsar held in the year 1995 and offered a plot of 1 accre in the vill. to start an English -medium public school. Ultimately the school came into existance in village Kasel on 3rd, of March, 1996 by the Chief Khalsa Diwan Amritsar.

Aim

The aim of the school is to provide quality education in the rural area through latest methodology and modern techniques. Equal stress is laid on the teaching of religious study, Sikh  history and culture.

Campus

The school complex covers 1 acre of land comprising the main building and playground. It has airy and well ventilated rooms. Apart from this a generator, water cooler (with R.O system), hot cases and a school van is also provided to the students. A well equipped computer lab is there to make the students learn through the medium of computer.

Sports

Sports and games are integral part of education to make a child physically and mentally sound. It also involves team spirit, sportsmanship and co-operation. Our students actively participated in inter school competitions and C.K.D sports also.

Co-Curricular activities

Mere attaining of knowledge is not enough in life, proper and well organized co-curricular activities are also important. Various activities like Quiz competition, debates, group discussions and speeches on different topic are organized in the school, Gurupurabs are also celebrated in school campus. The students and staff participate in the annual nagar kirtan held by the villagers. Students actively participate in Divinity tests organized by SGPC and Sikh missionary college Ludhiana.

Future development plans

The management has a very ambitious development plans to meet the future needs of school. Establishment of library and science lab for the students is under the active consideration. Management is to get the school affiliated to CBSE.
