Fostering character building and nurturing the inquisitive spirit of children, encouraging scientific temperament and strengthening social bonds are our constant endeavours.

“Education comes from within”. True education is a scholar’s internal discovery and as such their own doing. Meaningful education cannot be achieved by the use of external forces or third party persuasion. Rather, it is an internal awakening that quenches a scholar’s hunger for knowledge. The personal empowerment to learn, along with a hunger for knowledge, creates unlimited achievements.

“Exceptional education is a lifelong thirst for learning.”

Realizing the truths in education changes the dynamic of the teacher-student role. The first building block to exceptional teaching is to develop trust while gaining anunder standing of a child’s learning styles and unique needs. Teaching is an inter-personal relationship. If this connection fails than what is being taught will not be absorbed deep in the minds of the students.

The pastoral life in the school revolves around the House system. Every student is assigned to a House on joining the school. The Housemaster being in charge of the house looks after the all-round development of the student.

At GIS students are encouraged to lead and shoulder responsibilities as well as develop a healthy competition among themselves. Inter - House competitions in sports and other activities are an important part of this learning process. The House Captain and House Vice - Captain helps the Housemaster in running the House smoothly.

Every House has a House Council headed by Housemasters to look into the affairs of the House. They take important decisions in consultation with the Principal including awarding of House Colours to students who have contributed significantly to the success of the House in the academic year. “Flowers speak a beautiful timeless language each having an ancient and spiritual meaning conveying messages beyond the spoken words”.

We believe at GIS each child will be nurtured in an ambience which will help them blossom like beautiful flowers thereby spreading their enchanting fragrance wherever they go throughout their journey of lie.
