Government Secondary Schoo - Yanman

Government Secondary School, Yanman is one of the oldest Schools in Arunachal Pradesh which was established in year 1954 as Primary School. The school is located in Yanman village under Khimiyong Circle of Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh. It is located at a distance of 16 Km Southwest from district headquarters, Changlang. Yanman village has population of around 600 people with about 106 households inhibited by Tangsa tribe.

The school was upgraded to Secondary School from Primary School in year 1991 and affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, Affiliation No. 2220127. It is having classes from class I to class X. Many alumni of this school have become prominent government officials of the district as well as of the state. Presently, there are eight teachers including Headmaster in-charge working in the school. Recently, the school has given 100% results of class IX and Class X. The school has a managing committee comprises of twenty members from parents, students and prominent public from Yanman village.

It is worth mentioning here that Yanman village is native village of Former Minister, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Tengam Ngemu who also took active initiative in establishment of Government Primary School, Yanman in 1954 and it's up-gradation to Secondary School in 1991.
