This school, started in 1977, is one of the first seven VKVs started in Arunachal Pradesh in that year. It is a co-educational school and is up to Secondary level. It is located in the East Kameng district of this State. Kurung Kumey District in the north, Assam in south, West Kameng District in East, and Papum Pare District in the west surround this district. The literacy rate of the district is the lowest in the State. The inhabitants of the district are mainly ‘Nishis’ Tribe. It is residential in nature and hostel facility is for boys only.
