CBSE - Central Board of Secondary EducationGovernment Secondary School, Parbuk-Kangkong is located at Parbuk village under Meka-Anchal Block of Lower Dibang Valley District, Arunachal Pradesh. It is 21 Kilometres away from district HQ (Roing) and a distance of 3 kilometres from Assam-Arunachal inter-state boundary. This school is not only one of the oldest schools of the district but also of the state. It was established on 22.06.1964 and inaugurated by Shri. B.P. Singhal, APO. Shri Shiva Pujan Sharma was the first teacher to be posted and served in the school. It was upgraded to Middle School on 01.07.1975 and inauguration was done by Shri. M.B. Rai, ADC, Anini, and then the district HQ of Dibang Valley. It was on 01.01.1989, Sri. Gegong Apang, then Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh inaugurated this school as a Secondary School. Sri. A Hazarika was the first Head Master.
