About Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit - SSUS

Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit is a Public University located at Kalady near Kochi in Kerala. It is named after the sage and philosopher Adi Sankaracharya and was established in the year 1993. The varsity is located on the banks of the river Poorna. The varsity works towards the publication and preservation of manuscripts and books in Sanskrit and other languages. The university has 9 regional centres namely Kalady (main campus), Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Panmana, Thuravoor, Ettumanoor, Tirur, Koyilandy and Payyannur.

Library Facilities - The University provides good and well established library for fulfilling the educational needs of students and staff.

Computer Centre - The centre provides Internet facility to the students free of cost. It provides Internet connectivity to the entire campus along with providing INFLIBNET access to teachers and research scholars.

Health Clinic - There is also health facilities for students and other faculties’ members.

Career Guidance Cell - There is a cell established in the University, which is funded by University Grants Commission of India. Its objective is to equip the students of the university for better career management.

Gym Facilities - There is also Gym facilities for students in the University to keep them healthy and robust.
