Rules for choice of elective

1. The total number of elective credits for the programme must be at least 21.

2. The maximum number of electives that can be taken in any semester is as per the individual semester plan given above. Depending on the credits for the elective courses taken, the actual number of elective courses in the programme may vary.

3. A minimum of 12 M.Tech elective credits must be chosen from the stream electives given above. The remaining 9 elective credits can be from any 500/600/700 level courses in the Institute subject to the approval of the faculty advisor.
