About ICFAI University - Tripura

The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura was established under the provisions of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Tripura Act 2004 enacted by Legislative Assembly of Tripura State and notified vide Notification No F.2 (529)- DHE/UDCA/2003, dt. 15.06.2004 of Government of Tripura. The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Agartala is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), a non-profit educational society with the objective of imparting training in finance and management to students, working executives and professionals in India.

The University has been approved by the University Grants Commission, under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The Distance Education Council (DEC) has approved the programs of the ICFAI University, Tripura. The University believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing, and developing a new cadre of professionals with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct.

A number of educational programs are offered in management, finance, banking, insurance, accounting, law, information technology, arts, commerce, education and science & technology at bachelor’s and master’s levels on full-time campus and distance learning formats. The University also allows private candidates to enroll in various programs if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. The University does not provide any courseware, nor conduct any contact classes, nor offer any other support services to private candidates. Such candidates have to prepare for the programs on their own as per the curriculum and are required to attend the examinations, as per the rules and regulations of the University. The University has no study centers/branches outside the State of Tripura.

Faculty

Faculty of Science and Technology - IcfaiTech, ICFAI University Tripura, is set up to provide quality education and training in the fields of science and technology. It offers high quality full-time programs in science and technology.

The B.Tech. Program offered by the IcfaiTech, (Faculty of Science and Technology), ICFAI University Tripura, provides cutting edge education to equip students with comprehensive and critical understanding of the respective fields of study. B.Tech is a 4-year full-time campus-based engineering program with 8 semesters.

Faculty of Management, ICFAI University Tripura - It is committed to provide new career-oriented educational programs at the Bachelor’s and the Master’s degree levels.

Faculty of Education, ICFAI University Tripura - It is established to promote quality education, research, training and consultation in teaching training with a global perspective to meet the challenges of the fast changing trends in the field of education. The Faculty of Education offers B.Ed. which is a 1 year campus based program. The B.Ed Program is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Faculty of Law - It was established with the objective of developing a new cadre of legal professionals through a comprehensive and contemporary body of integrated knowledge and rigorous education and certification programs. The Faculty of Law to offer five year full-time Integrated BBA, LLB (Hons.) Program and three year LLB Program

Facilities

Campus Development - 32 acres land has been identified for ICFAI University campus at Fatikchara about 10 kms from Agartala. 24.87 acres of land has already been acquired and construction work commenced. Acquisition process for balance of land is under progress with concerned authorities

Directorate of Distance Education - The Distance Education Council, IGNOU, New Delhi, vide letter no. F.No.DEC/ICFAI-Tripura/08/7460 dated 10.03.2008, has recognized the University for offering programs through distance mode. It provides various Professional Programs, Bachelor Degree And Master Degree Programs, Pg Diploma Programs, Pg Certificate Programs in various disciplines

Online Enrollment - The Secure Internet Payment Gateway allows the prospective students and enrolled students to make payments through Internet. The Payment Gateway facilitates Credit Card (VISA/MasterCard) payments through ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank. The Internet Banking facility allows the Customers of ICICI Bank, AXIS Bank, Yes Bank, Karnataka Bank, Corporation Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce to make payments using Internet Banking accounts by visiting respective bank sites supported by TechProcess Solutions Ltd.

The Secure Internet Payment Gateway ensures protection of customer information. The complete payment process is secured through respective banks 128-bit SSL Encryption technology for transmission of messages from Customer PC to the Internet Payment Gateway. This encryption makes interception impossible.

The Payment site (https://www.secure.icfai.org) is a Verisign Certified Secure Site with 128-bit SSL Encryption technology.

https://www.secure.icfai.org uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide high security for your transactions. Not all browsers support this feature. You must have IE 5.5 above or Netscape 4.7 and above to ensure secure transaction. If you do not have these browsers, click on the links below to install the 128-bit encryption support component.

This gateway allows Credit Card issued by ICICI Bank/ HDFC Bank or the VISA/MasterCard issued by any bank to conduct transactions over the Internet. Customers of ICICI Bank, AXIS Bank, Yes Bank, Karnataka Bank, Corporation Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce can make use of the Internet Banking facility.
