Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore Invites Applications for Admission into PhD program

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into following programme for 2014.

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Communication Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics Design & Technology
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanoscience and Engineering disciplines

Eligibility Conditions

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of Engineering/Technology
                                         or
  Master’s degree in Science in an appropriate field
                                          or
  Bachelor's degree in Science (with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry as subjects of study) followed by AMIE, AMIIChE, Grad.IETE etc or master's degree in Engineering/Technology in an appropriate field.

How to Apply

• Candidates can apply on online.
• Application fee is for General/ OBC is Rs.600/- & SC/ ST/ PH  Rs.300/-

Selection Procedure

• Pass in one of the following national entrance tests is mandatory and must be within the cut-off marks announced: CSIR-UGC NET for JRF; or UGC-NET for JRF; or DBT JRF or ICMR- JRF; or INSPIRE fellow; or GATE; or JEST or NBHM.
  
  
• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview conducted by the institute.
