What is UP SEE?
Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination known as UP SEE is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow for the candidates seeking admission to Professional degree and post graduate courses like MCA, MBA and BE etc in States Government, Govt. aided and Private unaided institutions affiliated to U.P. Technical University along with some other Universities of the state. This test is controlled and supervised by the Central Admission Board – CAB, constituted by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and headed by the Vice Chancellor of the University.
What is the eligibility for taking on UP SEE?
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at the (10+2) or at the Bachelor's level are eligible to take this test.
All those candidates who are appearing at the Bachelor's degree examination in respective year and fulfil the aforementioned criteria are also eligible but they will have to furnish the proof of having passed the Bachelor's degree examination at the time of admission to the respective institutes.
Note:- Indian Nationals are only eligible to apply for this test.
What are the contents of the exam?
UP SEE exam consists of the following given subject:-
(i) Mathematics
Modern Algebra:
Idempotent law, identities, complementary laws, Demorgan’s theorem, mapping, inverse relation, equivalence relation, Piano’s Axiom, definition of rational numbers and integers through equivalence relation.
Algebra:
Surds, solution of simultaneous and quadratic equations, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progression, Binomial theorem for any index, logarithms, exponential and logarithmic series, determinants.
Probability:
Definition, dependent and independent events, numerical problems on addition and multiplication of probability, theorems of probability.
Trigonometry:
Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, use of mathematical tables, solution of triangles, height and distance, inverse functions, DeMoiver’s theorem.
Co-Ordinate Geometry:
Co-ordinate geometry of the straight lines, pair of straight lines, circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola and their properties.
Calculus:
Differentiation of function of functions, tangents and normal, simple examples of maxima of minima, limits of function, integration of function (by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction), definite integral (application to volumes and surfaces of frustums of sphere, cone and cylinder).
Vectors:
Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their basic applications.
Dynamics:
Velocity, composition of velocity, relative velocity, acceleration, composition of acceleration, motion under gravity, projectiles, laws of motions, principles of conservation of momentum and energy, direct impact of smooth bodies, pulleys.
Statics:
Composition of co-planar, concurrent and parallel forces, moments and couples, resultant of set of coplanar forces and conditions of equilibrium, determination of Centroides in simple case, problems involving friction.
(ii) Statistics:
Theory of probability, Mean, Median, Mode, Dispersion and Standard Deviation along with their applications.
(iii) Logical Ability:
This section contains questions to test analytical and reasoning capability of the candidates.

This exam is normally held in the month of April.
What is the pattern of UP SEE for MCA?
UP SEE for MCA consists a total of 100 questions of 400 marks from all the sections of the given syllabus.
What is the examination fee for taking the exam?
Application form and the bulletin can be obtained on cash payment which is not fixed and may vary every new session.
