Educational Qualification
- Aspiring candidates should have obtained at least 55% marks in the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto duly recognized by the UGC & NCTE to appear at M.Ed Entrance Test (MEET).
- There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks for SC / ST / OBC and other reserved categories of candidates as defined by the state government.
Note: Candidates appearing at the qualifying examination as mentioned above may also apply for MEET but they will have to produce the result of the qualifying examination with the criteria mentioned above, to the university at least seven days before the date of publication of the MEET result as fixed by the Patna University.
Important
- 80% of seats are reserved for the candidates having B.Ed degree from Patna University and the remaining 20% of the candidates have a B.Ed degree from other universities provided they fulfill the requirements as mentioned above in the eligibility conditions and must have obtained the minimum qualifying marks (i.e., 45%) at the entrance test.
- SC, ST, EBC, BC, BC Women and Physically challenged candidates will get the reservation as per the Government of Bihar Rules.
- Reservation of seats will be applicable only when the candidate fulfills the minimum eligibility conditions and must have obtained the minimum qualifying marks (i.e., 45%) at the entrance test.
- The reserved category candidates shall have to submit a copy of the certificate issued by the competent authority (DM/ SDO/ CO).
- Candidates belonging to the physically handicapped category shall have to submit a copy of the disability certificate issued by the District CMO/ Civil Surgeon with the Application Form. The Visually Impaired candidates will be provided “Writers” by the University.
- The Qualification of the “Writers” will be decided by the university as per provisions prevailing in Patna University. However such candidates should apply to the Controller of Examinations, Patna University in this regard giving the Entrance Test Application Form Number last 15 days prior to the date of the Entrance Test (MEET) and obtain written permission.

- Patna University MEET Exam will consist of Four Sections A, B, C & D.
- Questions will be Objective Multiple choice types.
- Patna University MEET will consist of a total of 100 questions carrying one mark each.
- The duration of the Test will be One hour & Forty minutes (i.e., 100 minutes).
