Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) Integrated Phd Courses 2018 Notification

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Integrated PhD Programme for 2018 sessions. 

Eligibility Conditions

For Biological Sciences

• Bachelors degree in Biological / Chemical / Physical / Mathematical / Engineering with a minimum of 55 % marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale
• All shortlisted applicants are required to appear for a written aptitude test followed by the interview. 

For Chemical Sciences

• Bachelors degree in Chemical sciences with a minimum of 55 % marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale);
• Shortlisted applicants will be called for a written test followed by the interview. 

For Mathematical Sciences

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Technology in a relevant discipline with minimum CGPA of 6.0 (or 55  % marks)
• NBHM-M.Sc Fellowship valid as on 1st August 2016 with CGPA of 6.0 (or 55  % marks). 

For Physical Sciences

• Bachelors degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering or Technology with minimum 55  % marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale
• Applicants must have cleared the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST)-2018. 

• Satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria alone does not automatically entitle the applicant to be shortlisted. 

• Shortlisting is based on the academic performance. 

• Shortlisted applicants will be called for a test followed by the interview. 

• Relaxation of eligibility criteria for SC/ST applicants will be made according to Govt of India rules Separate applications are required for each school for those applying to more than one. 

Application Fee

• GE/OBC [SC/ST] applicants are required to make a payment of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/-) as processing fee through the Powerjyoti Account. 

Admission Dates 2 (Tentative)

• Online Application will be Available at 07^th Sep, 2018
• Last date of Receipt of the Application Form: 17^th Oct, 2018
• Announcement of shortlisted applicants on the Institute’s Website: 20^th Oct, 2018
• Interview for the short-listed applicants Biological Sciences: 22^nd – 24^th Nov, 2018
• Interview for the short-listed applicants in Chemical Sciences: 02^nd & 03^rd Dec, 2018
• Interview for the short-listed applicants in Physical Sciences: 29^th – 30^th  Nov, 2018

• Applicants should complete the online application form by going to the following URL http://www.iisertvm.in/iphd/ 

• Read the General Instructions carefully before you start filling in the application form. 

• Applicants will also be prompted to upload all the supporting documents, like the photograph, proof of date of birth, mark-list, community certificate, in JPEG/PDF formats only. 

• GE/OBC (SC/ST) applicants are required to make a payment of Rs.200/- (Rs.100/-) as processing fee through the Powerjyoti Account. 

• On submission of the online application form, the applicants will receive an acknowledgement email with an application number.

• Short-listed applicants will be invited for a written test/interview at IISER-TVM.
