Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad M.Tech Admission 2018 Notification

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Master of Technology (M.Tech) program offered at various departments for the session 2018.
Eligibility Conditions
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent from institutes recognized by UGC/AICTE or a master’s degree in Science.
- Candidate should have Minimum 55 % or CGPA/CPI of 5.5 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for UR/OBC Applicants.
- Candidate should have Minimum 50 % or CGPA/CPI of 5.0 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree for SC/ST Applicants.
- The Applicant must be below the age of 30 years (35 years for women, PC/SC/ST & OBC).
Age Limit
- The Applicant must be below the age of 30 years (35 years for women, PC, SC, ST & OBC) as on the last date of application (20th Apr, 2018).
Eligibility Conditions
- Applicants must have at least one-year full-time work experience, at the time of application, in a govt. organization or companies of repute in the relevant field or in recognized Academic Institutions.
- Application form of the sponsored Applicants must be endorsed by the present employer.
Selection Procedure
- The admission to different M.Tech programs for GATE Applicants will be made through counseling on the basis of their GATE score.
- Non-GATE or GATE not qualified and sponsored Applicants must qualify the ISM Entrance Examination (ISM–EE) conducted by ISM at different centres all over the country.

Admission Procedure
- The Institute will not issue any letter by post to any Applicant regarding counselling/ admission/entrance exam /selection for the programme.
- The Applicant must visit Institute’s website (www.ismdhanbad.ac.in) regularly in this regard for any updates.
- Only admit cards for entrance examination will be sent through the online system.
- There will be separate counselling for GATE and ISM-EE Applicants.
- The applicants are to report at ISM, Dhanbad on the scheduled date, time and venue of counselling/admission. On reporting, the Applicants will sign on the attendance sheet.
- The admission process will start at 10.00 am sharp; any Applicant, who fails to report in the counselling centre by that time, will not be considered afterwards for admission; the Applicants will be called according to their GATE Score or ranking in the Entrance Exam.
Application Form
- The application form for M.Tech has to be submitted online, which is available on the ISM website https://www.iitism.ac.in/
- The application fee for M.Tech Program is Rs.2000/- for UR/OBC Applicants and Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/PC Applicants.
- The application fee for Foreign Nationals/ NRI is US$ 100.00; the application fee is to be paid by online payment gateway only.
- Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
- It is the responsibility of Applicants, to ensure their eligibility for a particular course, based on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the admission brochure, before applying for the course.
- After submission of the online application form, the Applicant should take two printouts of the application form.
- One printed copy of the application form must reach to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826004.
- The envelope containing the application form and other necessary documents should be superscribed with “Application for Admission in M.Tech-2018”.

- For Sponsored Candidates only: 23rd to 25th Apr, 2018

- Final Round (if needed): 13th Jul, 2018
