National School of Drama (NSD) New Delhi Diploma Courses in Dramatic Arts 2018 Notification

Applications are invited from eligible applicants for admission into its 3 years diploma course (full-time – residential) in Dramatic Arts for 2018 sessions. 

Eligibility Conditions

• Graduation in any subject from a recognized University in India or Abroad (or) Participation in at least 6-theatre production (or) Working knowledge of Hindi and English. 

Age Limit

• Age as on 01^st Jan, 2018 minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years; the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST applicants only. 

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Disabled Persons

• Out of 26 seats, 04 seats are reserved for applicants belonging to the scheduled castes; 01+01 seat is reserved for scheduled tribes including N.T.; 07 seats are reserved for OBC (expert Creamy Layer as notified by the Govt.) and physically disabled persons, as per Govt. of India rules. 

Selection Procedure

• An Expert Committee constituted by the School will assess the aptitude and talent of the applicants and its decision will be final; any canvassing in this regard will be treated as a disqualification. 

• The medium of Instruction: Hindi/English. 

Application Form

• To receive the application form and prospectus (English/Hindi) by post, write to the Academic Section, National School of Drama, Bahawalpur House, Bhagwandas Road, New Delhi-110001 along with a crossed demand draft (DD)/pay order, payable at Delhi of Rs.225/-  including postal charges in favour of the Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi. 

• Application Form can also be downloaded from the website www.nsd.gov.in from 16^th Mar, 2018. 

• The application form and prospectus will also be available from the Book Shop of the National School of Drama from 16^th Mar, 2018 to 16^th Apr, 2018 on cash payment of Rs.150/- between 10.00 am to 01.00 pm and 02.00 pm to 05.00 pm on working days. 

• The downloaded application form must be sent along with a demand draft of Rs.150/- in favour of the Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi in an envelope titled Applications for Admission 2018-21. 

• Application Forms duly filled in and complete in all respects must reach the
