Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses for 2018 sessions. 

Courses Offered

PhD Programs 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Post Graduation in Relevant Area. 

Master’s Degree in Arts Subjects 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Bachelor or equivalent Degree in any subject. 

Master’s Degree in Science Subjects 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Bachelor or equivalent Degree in the concerned Science subject. 

Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) 

• Duration: 1 year
• Eligibility: BLIS. 

Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC) 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Bachelor Degree or equivalent Degree in any subject or PGDJMC. 

Master of Computer Application (MCA) 

• Duration: 3 years
• Eligibility: BCA/ B.Sc. (Computer Science) or Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics as a subject. 

Master’s Degree in Commerce 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. 

PG Diploma Courses 

• Duration: 1 year
• Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. 

B.Ed Courses 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at-least 45% marks at graduate level plus 2 years teaching experience. 

BLIS Program 

• Duration: 1 year
• Eligibility: Bachelor Degree or equivalent. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts Subjects 

• Duration: 3 years
• Eligibility: Intermediate in any stream. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Science Subjects 

• Duration: 3 years
• Eligibility: Intermediate in Science 

Bachelor’s Degree Courses (B.Com) 

• Duration: 3 years
• Eligibility: Intermediate in any stream 

BCA Courses 

• Duration: 3 years
• Eligibility: Intermediate with Maths or I.A with Certificate in Computing. 

Intermediate 

• Duration: 2 years
• Eligibility: Matriculation or Equivalent. 

Certificate Courses 

• Duration: 9/6 Months
• Eligibility: Matriculation or Intermediate as per requirement of each program. 

Application Form

• Applicants seeking admission in various courses at NOU Distance Education can fill their application form from the website www.nalandaopenuniversity.com on or before the last date of application. 

• Any eligible person can apply for admission in one of the courses of his choice, offered by the University. 

• The admission form and Prospectus may be obtained through Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.350/- from the sales counters of the University or by sending the Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.400/- by registered post, drawn in favor of Nalanda Open University, Payable at Patna. 

• No money order or postal order is accepted. 

• The demand draft (DD) must be made in the name of Nalanda Open University payable at Patna. The sales counters of the University function on all working days from 10.30am to 05.00pm. 

• The admission form, supported by the photocopy of the following documents, must reach the
