THSTI JNU Gurgaon PhD Admission 2018 Notification

Applications are invited byTHSTI-JNU, Translational Health Science and Technology Institute Gurgaon from eligible candidates for admission to PhD Programs under two tracks (i) Biomedical Research and (ii) Clinical Research year 2018.

Eligibility Conditions

Master’s degree in any branch of life science (including biomedical, health, pharmaceutical, nutritional science, public health, or nursing), veterinary science, engineering, mathematics or a medical degree (MBBS, BDS, or equivalent) from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
Except for applicants with medical or allied background (MBBS, BDS, or equivalent) and those with Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, and nursing, all others must have qualified the junior/senior research fellowship examination of CSIR, UGC, ICMR, NBHM, DBT (category I only) or must have their own fellowship from any government funding agency for the duration of their PhD Program.
Applicants with medical or allied background (MBBS, BDS, or equivalent) or those with Master’s degree in public health, nutrition, and nursing, without a research fellowship will be required to appear in an objective type THSTI fellowship eligibility test to be conducted at THSTI in Faridabad on May 25th 2018.
Applicants with a doctoral degree in medicine (MD) will be shortlisted directly for the interviews.

Selection Procedure

All shortlisted applicants will have to appear for an admission test at THSTI on the 11th of June at 9:30 am.

Applicants who clear the admission test will be interviewed on 11th and 12th June 2018. Final selection will be made based on the applicant’s performance in the interview and the list of selected applicants will be published on the THSTI website by 09.00 PM on 12th June 2018.

Selected applicants should interact with potential PhD supervisors and provide their choice of supervisors for lab rotations by 4 PM on 15^th Jun, 2018.

Final allotment of supervisors shall be made based on choices exercised by both the students and the supervisors.

Application Procedure

Applicants fulfilling the above requirements may apply online. Please take a print out of the application, sign it and send it to the Administrative Officer (Academics) of the institute at the above address along with the application fee and self-attested copies of documents in support of qualification so as to reach latest by 10^th May, 2018.

Applicants in Govt. employment are required to send their application through proper channel or produce NOC at the time of interview. Applications received after the closing date will not be entertained on any ground including postal delay.

Incomplete applications in any respect will be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Application Fee

Non-refundable application fee of Rs.500/- for General and OBC applicants and Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PWD applicants should be paid by bank draft in favor of “Translational Health Science and Technology Institute” payable at Gurgaon.
